Great news for chocolate lovers – Cenu Cacao, the much-loved independent chocolatier based in Leamington Spa, has officially opened its latest store in Lillington.
Located at the top of Crown Way, this exciting new spot marks founder Rosemary Ndukuba’s third shop and promises an unforgettable dive into the world of handcrafted, bean-to-bar chocolate.
Ian McFarlane-Toms, Business Ready Programme Manager, first met Rosemary in the middle of 2019 and assisted her to access a Small Capital Grant, through Warwickshire County Council. The money was used to purchase a bean roasting machine for their first location.
Over the past six years, Ian has had the privilege of being part of the incredible journey of this brilliant brand. Today, he was honoured to officially open the new Cenu Cacao store in Lillington with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Looking for the exact location? According to what3words, it’s “today.handed.door” which is somewhat appropriate. But if founder Rosemary had her way, she’d prefer something more fitting like “indulgent.delicious.addictive”.
The new site offers more than just premium chocolates. Visitors are provided a window into the art of chocolate making. Thanks to its thoughtfully designed layout, you can watch the entire production process unfold in real time – from raw cacao beans to beautifully finished confections.
Rosemary said, “This is more than a shop – it’s a space where people can connect with chocolate. We want our visitors to see the love, creativity, and attention to detail behind every bar and every bite.”
The new venue also doubles as a fantastic space for events – from children’s parties and team-building days to hands-on chocolate-making workshops. Or, if you’re simply in the mood to treat someone (or yourself), there’s plenty to tempt you.
Expect a line-up of handmade goodies: from dark, milk, and white chocolate bars to silky truffles and rich, indulgent hot chocolate made fresh on site.
