Innovate UK have launched a number of funding competitions to help tackle industry challenges ranging from Quantum Networks to industrial sustainability.

SBRI: Quantum Networks, Enabling Components & Systems
Organisations can apply for a share of up to £10 million, inclusive of VAT, to develop enabling components and systems for quantum network technologies.
Knowledge Asset Grant Fund: Extend, Autumn 2023
Eligible UK public sector organisations can apply for up to £250,000 from the Knowledge Asset Grant Fund in this strand. The funding will aid exploitation of intangible assets that have a broader application or client base than their owner organisation.
SBRI: FOAK 2023 – Reliable and Maintainable Assets Rail Demonstrations
Organisations can apply for a share of £5.3 million, inclusive of VAT, across 3 themes, to develop a prototype and undertake field testing for up to 12 months. The focus for First of a Kind 2023 is cost efficiency and increasing value for money.
Innovate UK Smart grants: June 2023
UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £25 million for game changing and commercially viable R&D innovations that can significantly impact the UK economy. This funding is from Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation.
This Call for Ideas is delivered in partnership with Ofgem. Future funding may be available from the Ofgem Strategic Innovation Fund. The fund aims to deliver net zero at lowest cost to consumers and support innovative businesses to grow and scale.
India – UK Collaborative R&D for industrial sustainability
UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £5 million to develop innovative proposals with India. This funding is from Innovate UK.
